Contraception and VD/Chlamydia recurrence?

Question
I was diagnosed with chlamydia 9 months ago. A doctor certified me treated and cured a month later after taking some medications and antibiotics.

I have a new sex partner recently and I have symtoms that bothers me. After the first time we had intercourse, i began to have abdominal discomfort. I took some medications for UTI and the pain was gone. I felt pain when we had intercourse the second time.

My partner knew about my history of getting chlamydia and he is certain that he's clean. My symtoms of pain and discomfort worries me that I might have a recurrence of chlamydia?

My concern is, is it possible for me to get chlamydia again even after I was treated?

I hope you will be able to help me.

Answer
Diah,

Has your partner been tested for chlamydia? Even is someone is certain that he is clean doesn't necessarily mean so. It's also possible that you weren't really cured the first time. I can't tell you over the internet so you will have to have a checkup again. Please let me know what happens and your partner needs to be tested. I would also encourage you to think about not having sex until marriage because of health problems and/or pregnancy worries. Please email me at DWooley97@aol.com so we can talk more.
