Question I am 17 and sexually active with my boyfriend. He has only ever had any sexual content with me and he is my first sexual partner. I only see him approximately once every 6 weeks as he lives 3 hours away. I wasn't sure that going on the pill would be the best idea as i don't want to pump chemicals into my body if they are only being used once in 6 weeks. He is staying in my house in 3 weeks for a week. We are struggling to have sex using condoms so could you give me some suggestions please? Thanks
Answer Ellie,
Please consider refraining from sex at this time. Why not wait until marriage? I think you are wise to be concerned about pumping the hormones into your body with the pill. Unfortunately, condoms are not very reliable in preventing pregnancy. I don't know the exact statistics but I have heard many stories of pregnancy occurring using condoms. So I really can't recommend that you use this birth control method. Please email me at DWooley97@aol.com if you would like to talk more.
Would love to hear from you.
I will be out of town for a few days and won't be able to answer questions. If you would like to email me, you may do so at DWooley97@aol.com and I will answer on my return.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of each method of birth control?
I can answer questions about the various forms of contraception/birth control. I have knowledge about condoms, Nuvaring, Depo provera, the Patch, birth control pills, IUD, etc. I can answer some questions about sexually transmitted diseases.
