Contraception and VD/The pill

Question
Hi,

My girlfriend is on the pill (28 day pack) and says that for the first 7 days of each new pack that she could fall pregnant if she had unprotected sex. Is this right? I think she has this wrong, and it's only the first 7 day of a new pack if she has not taken the pill before or for some time.

Could you clear this up for us please.

Thanks
Tom

Answer
I'm not a medical doctor but I would say you are right about this. You can always ask your girlfriend to ask her doctor or pill prescriber about this. I really don't recommend hormonal birth control for women because of the possible side effects and possible risks. Can you email me at DWooley97@aol.com so we can talk more about these subjects.
