Question
I had unprotected sex the day after my mirena coil was removed and I had taken one contraceptive pill (microgynon 30) i have continued taking these, could I be pregnant?

Answer
Rachel,

It is possible that you could be pregnant. There is always a chance even with taking birth control, that you can be pregnant. No birth control method is 100% safe in preventing pregnancy. If you have any pregnancy symptoms or miss your next period, consider taking a pregnancy test. You can find a pregnancy resource center in your area where you can get a free pregnancy test. Go to this page http://www.heartbeatservices.org and then click on the worldwide directory link. Please email me at DWooley97@aol.com and update me. Put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line of your email. Will it be a problem if you are pregnant? Hope to hear from you soon.
