Cooking Meat/TURKEY

Question
HOW LONG DO YOU COOK A 16LB. TURKEY?

Answer
No two ovens are the same.   Try cooking with a thermometer.  Cook until the internal temp of a thigh is around 165.  If cooking with stuffing the stuffing should reach the same temperature.  The key is not to over cook and dry out the meat, which is what the higher temperatures will do.

Instant read thermometers are about $5.  Check temperature after the first couple hours. Roast the turkey at around 350.  If the outside starts to brown, early turn the heat back and put a tent of foil over the top of the bird.
