Cooking Meat/wild pig...ham in oven

Question
i have a bone in, wild pig ham 10lbs ready to cook(it was not precooked). do you have any suggestions?

Answer
Try baking it like you would a regular ham, baste it with unfiltered apple juice use it all, it will reduce down then skim the fat and use that as a sauce to serve witht he ham.  If it does not cook down to a pancake syrup consistency reduce it on the stove top while the ham cools.

Make sure you cook the ham to at least 165 or higher to kill any trichinosis parasite in the meat.

Serve with fried apples and onions, and a seasonal squash.  Twice baked it always good.   Mustard greens or spinach cooked with a bit of bacon would be a nice green veggy.
