Cooking Meat/Cooking beef tenderloin

Question
I bought a beef tenderloin for Christmas dinner.  I just found out the oven I would be using is not working!  Are there any reliable alternative cooking methods?  It will be quite cold, but I could use a bbq (not gas), also have crockpot and gas stove.

Answer
The bast way I know of to cook beef tenderloin is in the oven. If you cut it into steaks it could be cooked in a sautee pan or on the grill. If you cook the "roast" in the crock pot it will ruin the texture because of the lack of connective tissues. Unfortunately the oven is the only method I would recommend for the entire "roast". You may want to ask a nearby friend if you can cook it in their oven and simply bring it home to serve. sorry I cannot be of more assistance.
