Cooking Meat - Rotisserie Cooking Beef

Expert: Enrique Torres - 6/29/2009

Question
I am going to be cooking 2-25 lb. Top Round Roasts for the first time on an enclosed spit and need to know the best temperature to cook the roasts and the length of time it would take to cook. I will want to cook the roasts to medium rare to medium.

Answer
Chris:
Take in account the following:
1. The recommended temperature is: 350 F
2. The recommended time is: 20 minutes each lb, if you have a piece that weights 10 lbs, it could take 200 minutes. (almost 2 hr).  But It depends on the meat term you want, for that reason is good to check inside the beef each 30 minutes to check the desired term.

Good luck,
Enrique
