Question Can you recommend a menu for an after high school graduation party for abount 150 kids? The party is from 9:00PM until 12:00. We are trying to give them a safe party and have a popular DJ hired. We expect mostly light snacking but need advice! Thanks!
Answer The easiest and best thing to do would be to call your local Domino's as they will give you an enormous break on the price of a large pizza if you buy a lot of them and it would be the cheapest way to go for sure! You can get 1-topping large pies for around $6-7 each and pie is 12 slices. Figure 2-3 slices per guest and add chips and a veggie/fruit dip and sodas and you'd be good to go with a minimum of effort and everyone should be happy. I'd get a mix of pizzas--you will need about 30 pizzas. I'd make about 18 of them pepperoni, 4 cheese and 2 mushroom, 4 sausage and 2 ground beef. This will give you a nice mix and make everyone happy. You will need about 16 oz of beverage per guest and iced tea is good but they will probably want soda so I'd hit the local Sam's club or Costco. Figure either 20 gallons of iced tea, punch or Kool-Aid or 40 2-liter bottles of soda--Coke and Diet Coke should be fine--at least 10 of the bottles should be Diet coke--teenage girls drink diet soda. Some industrial size bags of potato and corn chips with dip and salsa and the veggie/fruit dip just in case and you've got a party! The pizzas will be a snap--1 phone call, and the rest should be very simple and I think all the kids will love it!
Rock On!!
