Cooking for Parties/freeze ahead shower food

Question
I am working on a 50th anniversary party. We are planning on finger foods.  What ideas/recipes do you have for things that I can fix ahead of time and freeze?  I do have a big freezer for storage.  Thanks.

Answer
Shrimp cocktail is always popular and very easy to make and serve.  Finger sandwiches are also good--make them with something hearty like Chicken salad. Dips are always good--humus is very popular these days and if you don't want to make it, you can buy it at Costco for a reasonable price.  The mini-mozzarellas that are marinated are also tasty and also available at Costco--they have a ton of prefab appetizers that are delicious and so very easy to bake off and serve.  I serve Nancy's mini quiches a lot--I could make them from scratch but not any cheaper and not any better!  Go to Costco on a Saturday around lunchtime and there will be all kinds of little ladies handing out tasty samples on toothpicks--you can have lunch for free AND get your appetizer selections for very reasonable price and delicious!
