Hi, i need to cook spaghetti (red sauce) for 50 people how many pasta should i buy and how many sauce (i will buy the ready made sauce?

It's much cheaper to make your own.  Here's an excellent recipe that will serve your guests easily.  Caluculate 3 oz of uncooked pasta per person which is about 10 lbs of uncooked pasta.
Here's the recipe--follow it exactly for the best sauce you've ever had--restuarant quality for sure!

13 lbs ground beef
40 15oz cans any cheap tomato sauce
10 6 oz can tomato paste
9 TBS + 1 tsp Basil
18 TBS + 2 tsp garlic powder
10 TBS Italian Seasoning blend (Spice Islands)
10 bay leaves
18 TBS + 2 tsp fennel seed
3 c. sugar
3 TBS accent
2 TBS crushed red pepper

I promise this will be the best sauce you've ever tasted!  If you'd like to make a test batch, here's the recipe scaled for 6:

1 1/4 lbs ground beef
4 15oz cans any cheap tomato sauce
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 tsp Basil
2 tsp garlic powder
1 TBS Italian Seasoning blend (Spice Islands)
1 bay leaf
2 tsp fennel seed
1/2 c. sugar (trust me)
1 tsp accent
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
