Question
I was wondering if you could help me out. We are having a 40th birthday party for my best friend and we are making all the food. I am making pasta salad and scalloped potatoes. I need to know hom mmany pounds of macaroni I need to make and how many pounds of potatoes I need to peel. Could you please HELP???

Answer
It's not usually good to serve pasta and potatoes in the same meal, as it's a LOT of starches in the same meal.
However, the menu choices are not mine to make and here's your answer:
For each person you will need 5 oz of scalloped potatoes and 3 oz of UNCOOKED pasta.  This comes to 22 pounds of potatoes and 13 pounds of uncooked pasta, Happy peels to you....LOL
