Expert: Teri Davis Newman - 11/6/2009
Question Had a thanksgiving meal catered years ago and the caterer used a precooked turkey breast instead of baking 15 turkeys. I am cooking for this event now and am curious if the precooked breasts sold at Gordons Food service is what was used and if so is it as easy as slicing the meat and topping it with gravy and reheating it? thank you.
Answer It boils down to a question of quality. If you are serving people who are happy with processed turkey sliced over Stove-Top stuffing with canned gravy then have at it. Personally I wouldn't serve that crap to a dog but I'm not catering your party. I've never heard of Gordon's Food service so I couldn't hazard a guess as to the quality of their products.
