Cooking for Parties/Plates to keep food hot

Question
What brand of "heat retentive plates" do you recommend for daily use of a WLS (Weight loss surgery) patient who must eat slowly.

Answer
There's no such thing as heat retentive plates. You can keep food warm for longer periods of time by heating the plate that you serve the food on, but WLS patients can usually only eat 2 oz of food at a time so it shouldn't take that long to eat it.  The idea is not to keep eating slowly until you clean the plate, the idea is tiny portions. If the food gets cold, it gets cold--reheat it in a microwave if you must--why would you want to encourage a person who is so obese they had to have SURGERY to keep eating?  Bariatric surgery is the last resort for morbidly obese people who are unwilling to control their eating any other way.  There's no need to worry that they might not get enough to eat if the food gets cold.
