Hi. I am having coldplates for my wedding with Beef and Turkey. How many pounds of each will I need to buy.  Thank you

Answer
You will need 3 ounces of cooked beef and 3 ounces of cooked turkey per person or about 50 pounds of turkey and 50 pounds of cooked beef. Some guests will eat one or the other and some will eat both. A 6 ounce serving of meat is about the right size for an adult.  You might want to have a "Beef or Turkey?" menu choice card in the invitations in case you have a lot of beef eaters and few turkey eaters or vice versa. Figure half portions for those 10 and under if you are allowing children at your wedding.
