Cooking & Restaurant Management - what insurance companies??

Expert: Mike Handy - 6/22/2009

Question
why discussing starting a restaurant food delivery service..how where the insurance companies to call about this insurance? also my other question is if i were to add other pick up services..like grocery pick, pet pick up and drop off, laundry pick up, actually we will get anything for the client, what kind of service would that be??

Answer
Hi Nicole,

The Insurance you want is "Owned and Non-Owned Auto Insurance" and "Liability Insurance".  You can find a great provider under the "Preferred Vendors" button at www.restaurantdeliveryusa.com .

You may be considered a "Mobile Waiter" service or a "Concierge" service.  I would keep away from putting "concierge" in your name considering people need to find your web site and it can be difficult for many to spell and type.  Or you could be considered a "Pick up and Delivery" service or a "Courier" service.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Mike Handy
