Cooking & Restaurant Management - what software do i need

Expert: Mike Handy - 6/22/2009

Question
what software to i need to start a restarent delivery service and what are the exact legal papers i need??

Answer
Hi Nicole,

The software I recommend is the Data Dreamers Software.  It has been around 10 years and works for Hundreds of services like yours.  You can find it by going to www.restaurantdeliveryusa.com or purchase it at www.shop.restaurantdeliveryusa.com .  The set up is $250, plus you will have a .20 cent charge per order for hosting, maint and updates.

Legal papers needed will be based on your local City or County business license needs.  Typically you will only need a General Business Occupational License, but again, this differs with state, city and county.  What ever you do, you need to explain to the License office that you are not a "restaurant" nor do you prepare or handle food.  You are merely a "Marketing" company that dispatches orders to be delivered.  You want to stay away from any "food" classification.

Regards,
Mike Handy
