Question
Hi,I have invented and patented a new product and am looking for a company in America to sell the patent. How do I go about this.I am a Spanish resident. The product is ready for production.

Answer
There is only one reputable approach, other than do it yourself, and that would be with a member of the Licensing Executive Society of Canada and the United States. They are professionals, very specialized, and there may be one that has the contacts in the industry your patent applies to.  There is a Don Kelly, whose contact information would be listed in the U.S. Patent and Trade Mark Office list of registered practioners, who is a member of the L.E.S.
He would be a good place to start.

Do not deal with any of the invention promotors. Those are the folks that write people who are awarded patents. They have very convincing stories. Some include Invent Help, I.D.E.A. Inc., Absolutely New, and Davidson.

My web site has a link to the Ron Riley Scam Alert Page (re. my Inventors Resources page) that has the details on many of these sharks.

I hope that helps.

Best wishes on your project.
