Question
We are going to produce a product which uses a different delivery mechanism for a powder. Similar products with the same powders exist but with different delivery mechanisms. How different does the product have to be to not violate a patent? Thank you very much, I look forward to your response.
Erik

Answer
The basic answer is that you need to accomplish the same result without violating the claims of any patents out there. That usually means reading the claims & doing the job without at least one of the claimed elements of each of the claims of any patents in question.

Hope that helps,

Best wishes on your project.
