Question
I got a patent March 14th 2000. Patent # 6,035,983.  I have tried several patent services and have been unable to find a partner.    Question:  How do I go about selling the patent copyrights etc.

Additional information available.

Answer
Peter.  That is a tough question. If you have no contacts in the space, you need to start developing them.  Get on Linkedin.com.  Join groups that makes sense. Research who is either using the technology or who needs it.  Approach them. Get your pitch down to 3 or 4 sentences.  Research, research, research -- know about what you are talking.  Even with the best pitch, you can lose it all on the details.  There are also posting Sites.  I have never used them, but you may want to take a look.  Learn from the bad experiences and go down another road.  Offer something to the people you are pitching (NO MATTER WHAT).

Just thoughts.  Good Luck.  I hope this is helpful, but please understand this is meant for educational purposes only and is not intended as legal advice.
