AboutNeal Ziring Expertise Experienced user of versions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and X3 mostly for

so I'll be best at answering questions about those.
Question QUESTION: I looked and looked, but couldn't find out how to make my text follow a path. I seen a lot of pages say object/text/text to path, but I don't have that option in my object menu. I can create paths, so I would assume I can map text to them, but how?
ANSWER: Mike,
Yes, Photopaint 8 can do this, but the menu entry isn't
necessarily where you'd expect.
You need to create both the path and text object first.
Then, you must select the text object.
Then, you pick Object->Text->Fit to Path..
The cursor will change to an arrow, and you click
on the path.
QUESTION: Thats just it I dont have the text option. On the top of my objects drop down menu it says create duplicate and delete
Answer Mike,
I'm sorry, I was confused about versions. Fit Text to Path is a
feature in Corel PhotoPaint 10 and later. It does not exist in
PhotoPaint 8.
If you need to have fitted text in an image, you'll need to use
a combination of CorelDraw 8 and PhotoPaint 8. You can make the
text and fit it to a path in CorelDraw, then import the CorelDraw
graphic into PhotoPaint.
When you save from CorelDraw, just save as a normal .CDR file.
Open that file from PhotoPaint, and it will ask you for the
image resolution. Choose a high resolution, at least 300dpi.
Use the mask tool to select the portion of the imported image,
then Edit->Copy. Go back to the image where you wanted to put
the fitted text, and Edit->Paste (Paste as new object is what
you want, I don't remember the exact menu item name.) Then you
can adjust the size of the object as needed.
Sorry about my mistake in the previous answer.
Hope this helps...
