Corel Photo Paint/anti aliasing

Question
i am using corel photo paint 11, i am having problems with anti aliasing.
I had no problem with previous versions of CPP.
Am i doing something wrong?
I select the brush mask, click the anti aliasing button from the advanced options so anti aliasing is enabled and drag the brush all over my photo, but nothing happens at all, even if i turn the strenght all the way up.
Shouldnt it be doing something?
i have tried many other things but nothing seems to work.
I have looked on the help of corel photo paint 11 but i find no useful guide there.
thankyou for your time

Answer
Kizto,

I'm sorry my answer is so late, I was away from my
e-mail visiting relative, and I just got back last
night.

Anyway, the mask brush in Corel PhotoPaint 9 and later
is simply a means of selecting parts of the image to be
added to or subtracted from the current mask.  It does not
actually change the image.  The anti-alias button, when
applied to the mask brush, merely tells PhotoPaint to
smooth the edges of the selected area.  Be sure not to
confuse the mask brush with the paint brush or the effect
brush.  Each has a very different purpose, even though
they have similar names, and you need to be aware of the
difference to really master PhotoPaint.

When I use the mask brush in CPP 11, it just shows
changes to the selection marquee, or the selection
overlay, depending on which one I've chosen.  The first
thing you should do is turn on the mask overlay (it
should be on the Mask menu.  Then try using the mask
brush again.

Another possibility is that you have put selection mode
into 'subtract'.  If you accidentally did that, then
when you swipe over the image with the mask brush, it
will have nothing to subtract from, and you'll see no
effect.

To view the help about the mask brush, you probably
need to look up "masks" in the Help index.

 Hope this helps...
