Question
i draw the letter "M" with curved lines joined to one another. i want to fill that "M" but i'm having problem filling.

Answer
Your object will not fill because the curved lines are separate objects which are not properly joined. You need to join them manually but it is quite easy.

Follow these steps:
1. Select all of your curved lines together and click Arrange/Combine (or press Ctrl+L).
2. Zoom in on your M so it nearly fills the screen.
3. Choose the Shape tool (it's the second tool down) and click one of the corners where two of your lines join. Select the end nodes of both of the lines together by dragging a small marquee box over the two end nodes.
4. Right-click one of the nodes. From the pop-up menu choose Join.
5. Repeat for all of the other corners of your M.

As soon as your last corner is joined, your fill colour will suddenly appear!

Expertise

My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
