Question
QUESTION: When I Open/Import file(s) in CorelDraw X3. The open/import file window shows the files by the modification date. Whenever by default is shows the files by the alphabatic order. What should I do.

ANSWER: Hi Gauurav

Your English is not very clear, I'm sorry but it is difficult to understand your question.

By default, CorelDraw lists files in alphabetic order of the file name. If you want to view by Modification Date, you click the Date Modified box at the top of the column. If you click it again it will reverse the order (a-z, z-a etc). To see the Date Modified column you need to scroll to the right.

It always sorts by name when you open the box. I do not think it is possible to change this.

QUESTION: Sir, my problem is, that when we ever open/import/export/save the files in either coreldraw or in photoshop / in pagemaker 7.0 / in msoffice, the view of listing the files in the open/import/export/save has to be in alphabetic order. But it ever shows the files in order to modification date manner. I think that the problem is in the windows XP. What do you think about this. Please tell me the solution.

Answer
Ah, I understand you properly this time! Your English is much better than my Indian - Here in the UK I only understand Tandoori Chicken and Lamb Bhuna!

I am sorry but I do not know the solution to your problem. I agree that it does sound like a Windows XP matter. I think the dialog box which opens for the Open/Save etc is in the commdlg32.dll Windown file.

If you find out how to change this, PLEASE tell me, because I want my files in Modification order!

Thank you Gauurav and good luck.
