CorelDraw/Importing editable graphics to Microsoft Powerpoint 2007

Question
When using an older version of Powerpoint, I could copy and paste an image I had drawn in Coreldraw 9, into Powerpoint, and ungroup and edit the graphic. Now that I have Powerpoint 2007, I can only copy and paste the graphic into Powerpoint as an uneditable graphic complete with a white background. Can I get the image to transfer from Coreldraw 9 to Powerpoint 2007 as an editable graphic, without the background?

Answer
Hi Ricky

Newer software is supposed to be better I thought, pah!

I'm sorry but I have no idea how to get around this apart from perhaps saving your CorelDraw file in a few different vector formats and importing them into Powerpoint and seeing if any of them works. But this is not an elegant solution and I have no other ideas, sorry!

This seems to be a Powerpoint issue not CorelDraw, perhaps you might find somebody with more suggestions if you ask a Powerpoint expert instead.

Good luck!

Expertise

My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
