CorelDraw/export to an eps file becomes corrupt

Question
I am attempting to export my corel draw file to an eps file for use with the printer i have and each time I do so the eps file appears to become corrupt in the process. I have attempted to perform a repair to Corel to no avail. However the corel draw file opens ok in corel the eps file when exported appears to be corrupted

Answer
Hmmm, another question relating to possibly dodgy export filters!

In the past I had concluded that the folks at Corel just don't really know how to create .eps files but they released it as a feature anyway, hoping that nobody would notice. I used v8 for many years which couldn't manage to write .eps or .pdf files. However X4 makes brilliant .pdf files in no time, so perhaps it will do .eps now too, since the two formats are closely related.

However you didn't say which version you're using and I don't know in which version they finally mastered it anyway!

Of course, your copy might be corrupted, it's only a very small possibility, but to rule it out only takes 20 minutes or so. Be sure to reboot after uninstalling (and a defrag wouldn't hurt), before you re-install. I don't fully trust 'repair' options!

I presume you're using some kind of large format device. Surely there must be some other format you can feed it with. EPS seems a bit 'last decade' to be honest.

Expertise

My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
