CorelDraw/mouse problem (x3)

Question
somehow something has changed in my mouse (or in the program) because it does not work normally. I cannot move the object by holding down left button. It works with right button - popping up a new submenu window in wish I have to chose: Move here option. It is VERY annoying! Where can I set my mouse to behave just like it did before?

Answer
Hello

Are you sure your mouse isn't broken? Borrow one from a friend to make sure! If your mouse works normally in other programs, I think your option to "Treat all objects as filled" may be turned off. If this is true you will still be able to move things by dragging the object's outline.

Adjust the setting in Tools/Options, then click Workspace/Toolbox/Pick Tool/Treat all objects as filled.

Please let us all know how you get on, thanks!

Expertise

My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
