Question
QUESTION: how do i edit clip art using corel draw 12. i have tried ungroupping but it is not giving me the option to ungroup. thnx.

ANSWER: Hi Elliot

If there is no ungroup option, it means the objects are not in a group.

Perhaps they are "combined" instead?

Try Arrange/Break Apart (Ctrl+K) although this may affect how the fill looks. Also, you can edit shapes using the Shape tool (F10).

QUESTION: is it possible for me to edit a picture using corel draw 12. thus separating the image from the background. hope to count on your maximum corporation once again thanks.

Answer
Hello again

CorelDraw is a vector drawing program and it is not designed to edit bitmap images such as .gif, .jpg, .tif etc. Therefore the answer to your question sadly is no.

I would use Photoshop to edit the image, then bring the finished result into CorelDraw. If I didn't have Photoshop I would use Corel Photo Paint instead but I have never used that program.

My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
