QUESTION: Using Draw X3 and X4, I can't paste a JPG file from the clipboard. I can paste the JPG into other programs, but when I attempt to do so using Draw X3 or X4 (using Ctrl-V), nothing happens. The option to paste (and paste special) appears in the Edit menu, and when I try to paste using the paste Special option, 'Device Independent Bitmap' shows on the list, but when I choose Paste nothing happens.

ANSWER: I really don't know why this isn't working, I'll try it tomorrow from my work PC.

Meanwhile to get your .jpg into CorelDraw just drag and drop it from your desktop. I hope this works for you.

QUESTION: I was hoping to avoid saving the file. I'm copying the image from google images, so I would like to paste straight into Draw. As a workaround, I'm saving the image and the using the import command, but it's an extra step I would like to avoid.

Drag the image from your browser onto the desktop. Then drag into CorelDraw. Delete the desktop file. I use this method all the time.

If you're using IE, you may be able to drag straight from your browser but I need to go via the desktop since I started using Chrome instead.
