CorelDraw/Edges being cut off of exported images

Question
QUESTION: Hello
Currently I am using CorelDRAW x4.  I am exporting images as emfs and finding that when I insert into PPT, Word or Excel the right hand side of my image is slightly cropped - normally I can uncrop these - but when I am inserting into an Excel footer I don't have the option.
This did not happen when I exported as an emf from previous versions.
Any idea what is causing this?  I would be grateful for a solution.
Kind regards...

ANSWER: Hi

I have just exported some test images to .emf and placed into Word 2003 (via Insert Picture) and the image did not suffer from any cropping. Inserted into an Excel 2003 Footer there was no cropping either (after I had realised that Excel chops off at the right margin and I switched to Landscape!), although the colour image was converted into monochrome in the Excel footer.

So unfortunately I can't replicate your problem on my X4 system. Perhaps a workaround would be to try .gif and .jpg instead (the choice of which would depend on your image content).

QUESTION: Thank you for your time and looking for a solution
I tried exporting the same logo using my home PC - where I use Windows 2007 and x4 (initially spotted this problem at work where I use PPT 2003 and x4) - and it happens at home as well. Grrrr.
I can't think of what else to add - I grab the logo I need, I ungroup if I can, I convert to curves if necessary, I "break curve apart" and combine individual "letters", regroup and export.
As it doesn't happen to you I wonder if there is something wrong with my export settings - but I have no idea where to look.
Irksome
Kind regards...

Answer
There are no export settings which would cause your image to become cropped. All the export settings are contained in the dialogs which appear at export time.

Can you view the image on its own, without importing it into an over-engineered Microsoft product? Then you would see if the image is faulty, or if the problem is being caused somewhere in Office.

One possible workaround in CorelDraw would be to place a small square underneath your drawing which extends out to the right by a short distance. Then colour the square the same as your background so it looks invisible. Then we would expect the square to be cropped slightly, but your desired image should remain intact.
