QUESTION: When I open a new existing document it takes 4-5 minutes to open. otherwise all working is ok. It also takes more than 5 minutes in copying and pasting a single word in the same file.
Otherwise in all other task such as duplicating, shadow effect, or saving it works normally.
My files are also not too heavy.. I general trace the monograms of small size in coral. My computer is Core 2 duo processor, 2.9Ghz processor, 2 gb ram, 360 GB hard drive.
Please suggest why it takes too much time in only opening and copying pasting. and if there is any hardware problem why it runs normally in other functions such as saving and drop effect, or shadow. I also try F8 button to restart corel draw 11 default by
the problem is not solving so please give me Answer.

ANSWER: Perhaps your document contains a link to an external file, which is either on a network drive or no longer exists. CorelDraw is waiting a long time for a response from this missing linked file, which is causing your delay.

Your PC sounds okay and 2GB RAM should be adequate unless your files contain large images. To find out if you are bumping into the end of your memory, start Task Manager and click the Performance tab. Compare the figure for Peak Commit Charge with Total Physical Memory. As long as the first is less than the second, you have enough RAM.

QUESTION: I read your answer but i have no network in other PC or my corel file is no big image. & I change 3 pc but problem is same. when i copying the any one line in this corrupt coral file to another corel file this file is also loading to copying & pasting & opning that file. otherwise I develope new corel file is normally working. so please give me the answer. I have attache my on file of corel draw 11

If my first thoughts are not correct, I agree with you - perhaps something has gone wrong inside your file.

Perhaps quickest to start a new blank file and copy/paste your objects into it from your slow file. You will find which object is causing the problem when your new file becomes slow. Then you can delete this object from the original file and *perhaps* this will "repair" the original file.

Thank you for your email, I have opened your file in X4. You are right, it is a simple file.

However I noticed that the file seems larger than it needs to be at over 700Kb. When I recreated a similar file, the size is only 20Kb. I have found that the problem is caused by Color Styles. Your file stops responding when I try to open the Color Styles docker (Tools/Color Styles).

Because the docker will not open I can not remove the embedded color styles from your file but I think this is the cause of your problem.

I suggest you re-create your document and avoid using color styles. Or if you have some free time you could experiment with color styles to find out which action causes the problem!
