Question
Hi,how to insert a logo in coreldraw 12?. I insert one type file->Insert. but my logo picture edges are pixel. how do solve that problem?

Answer
Hi Misaa

You can insert an image either with File/Import or drag-and-drop.

I am not certain what you mean by "picture edges are pixel" but if the edges are uneven I can think of two reasons:

1. The logo is low resolution. Try to use a high-resolution logo.

2. The logo is a .gif with transparent areas. CorelDraw does not recognise these transparent areas and the solution is to make adjustments to your logo in Photoshop or Photo Paint.

To work around this problem, perhaps you can try placing a border around the logo.

If you are trying to place an image on top of a coloured background, it can be extremely difficult to make this work nicely. What I do, is create the entire background in Photoshop and then import the entire thing into CorelDraw. Finally I use CorelDraw to add text and borders etc.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Expertise

My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
