Question
QUESTION: Sir, I am using corel draw 13 %26 14 also, i have core 2 duo processor with 2 GB RAM and enough disk space, but while opening corel draw file (even 5 to 10 MB)it takes 10 minutes to open. I have all the fonts which i need.

ANSWER: Hi Rajesh

This is a long time, but your files seem very large.

It makes me guess you are importing large digital images without resampling them.

After importing your photo and resizing it how you want, click the Resample Bitmap button. Choose a resolution of 300dpi (at most).

This will keep your .cdr files much smaller and should solve your problem.

If you wanted to create a .cdr file with many pages and lots of images, it may be best to save each page as a separate file.

Answer
Hi again Rajesh

I do not know why CorelDraw X4 takes longer than CorelDraw 12 to open your file, sorry.

I have never seen a file which takes so long to load, but if your system is ok it must be the type of files you are creating - please refer to my previous comments for advice on this.

Kind regards

My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
