Question
QUESTION: when I click to veiw the full page it shows a blank page but if i close and reopen the file then my drawing is back I have coral x3
I can edit a bit and then it just dispaears on the page. Any help would be great as to why it might be doing this

ANSWER: Hi Nikki

CorelDraw has always had a slight problem with the way it handles objects with very thick outlines, in particular the way it erases and redraws them when you move such an object. If your drawing contains lots of things with thick outlines this might be your problem here.

The solution is to use Ctrl+W (refresh Wireframe, a command which harks back to the glory days of slow computers when CorelDraw's working view was the wireframe view).

This keystroke is at my fingertips most of the time and I use it quite regularly, so I hope this will solve your problem!

QUESTION: I tried this and it does not work on my particular problem, it is like there is nothing at all on the page, that i have not started designed at all, but if I close the file and reopent ehn  it appears to be normal, i would then do some work on the file and zoom in or out and bamm its gone again. It does ask me if i want to save the file and i do and the work i have done when i can see the drawing s saved when I reopen the file

Answer
Hmmm it starts to get more interesting! I don't know whether this happens to you regularly or if it is just with this one drawing.

Objects can go out of sight if they are on a layer which is hidden. To find this out, open the object manager (Windows/Dockers/Object Manager). You can switch layer visibility on and off by clicking the eye icon (open/closed) in the list. All the same, I don't quite see how this would happen by itself when you zoom, unless you are accidentally activating some obscure keystroke combination when you do this, but that doesn't seem very likely (I use F2 and F3 to zoom, nothing else).

So I don't really think this will solve it but if you would like me to take a closer look and are ok to let me see your file, send me a copy to allexperts@nhbusiness.co.uk. I will poke around and see what it looks like on my X4 system.

My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
