CorelDraw/Corel X3 Functions

Question
I work in a sign shop using Corel X3 and I'm having problems with running my Mutoh Printer and a GraphiTec plotter. I have to log out of my computer to work with one or the other. Is there a way to set it up so I don't have to log out to run my printer and be able to use the plotter at the same time?

Answer
Hi Nathan

This should not be happening and it is a Windows problem, not CorelDraw. There is no good reason I know of, where your two "printers" should not happily coexist.

I would remove both printers from your system and then reboot. Then reinstall them both again and your problem should vanish! However if you still have trouble, perhaps send your question to a Windows expert instead.

Best wishes

Expertise

My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!

Education/Credentials
University educated and over 2 decades of hands-on experience

My first printer was a Star LC10 Colour and I once paid £1745 for an HP Laserjet III.
