Costa Rica/acupuncture law

Question
I am trying to locate acupuncture regulations, if there are any, and who regulates them, and contact information.  I could not find a medical board website or address on the internet.  Thanks, Laura

Answer
Hi Laura,

My guess is that it's either the medical board (Colegio de Médicos y Cirujanos) or the Department of Health (Ministerio de Salud) that regulate Acupuncture in Costa Rica.

Here are their websites (in Spanish).

http://www.medicos.sa.cr/wweb/

http://www.ministeriodesalud.go.cr/

I hope this helps.

Let me know if you have more answers.

Good luck,
Luna

Expertise

I am a Costa Rican and I lived in Costa Rica up until six years ago, when I moved to the United States. I can answer general questions about Costa Rica, like "is it O.K. to drink tap water?" "do I need special vaccinations?", "what kind of transportation is available to go to the beach?", "what if I lose my passport?", "where can I go shopping?", "where is the American Embassy located", etc. Sorry, I cannot answer questions about surfing. I can answer questions in English, Spanish and French.

Experience

I used to have a website about Costa Rica and I have volunteered with Allexperts for several years.
