I'm planning to move to Costa Rica, it could be a long stay. I am an American citizen and need to know the requirements for getting a job there.

here is not so easy to get an official job, just coming here you cannot find something good,
depending on you area of expertise you might want to send CV's to several companies based here so they can file you request to migration in order for you to have a legal job

research which area will you like to work and ask them if they are hiring, so that is the easiest and fastest way
