Question How do you find the right therapist or psychologist who would be the most helpful? I know you can ask them what school of psychology then tend to follow or lean toward, but how would I know which school I would even prefer?
Picking a doctor out of an insurance book just seems like a crapshoot to me.
Answer Hi Lauren,
This is an excellent question. Word of mouth is usually the best way to find a therapist. I suggest you ask people you know, doctors, teachers, trusted friends, etc., if they know of someone they think would be a good match for you.
