Hello Marissa, I realize you had been stress about all the events that had been happening in your life but you should not rely on Kate for help when you need it. You probably see Kate as a mother than your own mother because you feel that you need Kate to talk to her about your problems when you have your mother by your side. Kate is not an object to play with she is a person and to find a bestfriend you do not have to chose a neighbor that looks similar or seems similar to your aunt. There is a lot of issues that you need to fix first in your life and you need to feel that you want to accomplish goals for yourself not by having someone to support you. Find a job as soon as possible so you wont feel lonely as you feel right now.   It does not matter how many jobs interview had you been in just continue trying. Right now i am taking online classes myself and i did felt that i needed a little push but most of all i wanted to do it for me and that's what you need to feel. Next, go on online and apply to colleges that most fit you. And last when you get together with Kate or when you see Kate try to be nice all the time and involve yourself in a conversation so she can feel that you are interested in what you have to say. Friendship starts with a conversation and you should know what to say to her. Do not try to tell her that you need a bestfriend because she will feel sorry for you and will not be very interested in what you have to say. Good luck. Zuleica
