Question
Who is the country singer that sings an older song called "Nobody Wins"?  I appreciate it.

Answer
Hello Sharyn,

Kris Kristofferson once wrote a song called "Nobody Wins". Apart from himself, it was recorded by Lynn Anderson, Rita Coolidge, Ray Price, John P. Strohm, Tennessee Ernie Ford, and Frank Sinatra. But it was Brenda Lee who had the hit version, reaching #5 on the country charts in 1973.

Radney Foster also wrote and recorded a song called "Nobody Wins" which was a #2 country hit for him in 1993.

There are also a few other songs with the same title, as follows:

(1) Recorded by Elton John (written by Jean-Paul Dreau & Gary Osborne)

(2) Written & recorded by Mike Pinera

(3) Recorded by The Veronicas (written by Kara DioGuardi, Cliff Magness, Jessica Origliasso & Lisa Origliasso)

(4) Recorded by Mary Taylor (written by Bruce Feiner & Johnny Rawls)

(5) Recorded by Robert Crenshaw (written by Robert Crenshaw & Jamie Hoover)

(6) Recorded by Wisdom In Chains (written by Oliver Jotham & Maarten Sieben)

(7) The Van Delecki's (written by Robert Crenshaw & Jamie Hoover)

Glad to be of help. Cheers........Mel.

Expertise

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
