Question
A song starts out he says he loves her and another part near the end she say ain't it funny how his voice cracks as you tell him goodbye.

Answer
Hello Jerry,

That's a song called "Fallin' Out Of Love" that was on Reba's 1990 album, "Rumor Has It".

He says he loves her...what can you say to that
Oh, he's made up his mind and there ain't nothin' you can do
So you swallow hard...maybe you drive all night
Tryin' to figure out where the whole thing started goin' wrong
And in the silence something begins to unravel
You never knew him like you'll be knowing him now

Falling out of love and back into your life
Pulling your heart out from under the knife
Closing the door on all the dreams you used to know
Falling out of love and back on your feet
Turning away from that dead end street
Oh, and finding out that nothing feels as good as letting go

That's when he calls you up out of the blue one day
And you know he thinks he's talkin' to the girl that you used to be
So when you tell him he's just a memory
Ain't it funny how his voice cracks when you're sayin' goodbye
And in the silence something begins to unravel
He never knew you like he'll be knowing you now

Oh, falling out of love and back into your life
Pulling your heart out from under the knife
Closing the door on all the dreams you used to know
Oh, falling out of love and back on your feet
Turning away from that dead end street
Oh, and finding out that nothing feels as good as letting go

Oh, and nothing feels as good as letting go
He said he loved her

Glad to be of help. Cheers........Mel.

Expertise

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
