Question
I am trying to remember the title and artist for a song from the early nineties.  The title may be "That's Good, No, That's Bad" and the artist's last name may be something like "Mency."  However, I cannot find that title of artist on the internet.  The song had the singer recounting meeting a woman and everything that happened was the opposite of what it seemed.

Answer
Rick,
I got a response from another person that might be the song you are requesting.

?That answer you're looking for is Tim Mensy. The song is called "That's good" on the album This Ol' Heart released in 1992 on the Warner Brothers label."

I found a song titled the same, but it's an oldie by Sam The Sham and the Pharoahs.

(Ohhhhh, that's bad!) No, that's good! Not long ago I was walking down the street
When a woman in a car knocked me off my feet
(Ohhhhh, that's bad!) No, that's good!My insurance paid me a lot of dough
More money than I'd seen in a year's payroll
(Ohhhhh, that's good!) No, that's bad!My doctors' bills is where my money went
And all I had left was a very bad limp
(Ohhhhh, that's bad!) No, that's good!'Cause the way I walked got me a role
As the marshall's partner on a TV show
Pretty young actresses started hanging 'round
And every night we'd do the town
(Ohhhhh, that's good!) No, that's bad!I ended up back in a hospital bed' Cause my horse fell on my bad leg
(Ohhhhh, that's bad!) No, that's good!'Cause just when I was feeling my worstI fell in love with a beautiful nurse
(Ohhhhh, that's good!) No, that's bad!'Cause I found out she was the doctor's wife
Now I'll be in a wheelchair the rest of my life'
Cause no matter how I pleaded and begged
He operated on my good leg(Ohhhhh, that's bad!) No, that's AWFUL!!

I can usually locate song by artist, excerpts and even circa around when the song was released in country, rock and other genres. ****** PLEASE do not ask me about videos. I do not watch them.******** I've been singing since I started talking, singing in public since I was 7. Still at it at 56. I have an extensive repertoire as well as lots of music. I also actively research for other people, including local djs, music that no one else can find, especially being given just paraphrased lines of songs. I'm the one @ karaoke that usually gets asked, "Who did this song?" or "Do you know a song that goes" and if it's country, I usually can name the song and artist, sometimes give within a couple of years the year of release. I've got a lot of lyrics in my database, as well as friends with working musicians who do open mic jams who have even more extensive databases than I do.
