Country Music/List of Country

Question
QUESTION: Please send me a list of good country dance music list that you have used before and sems to good for your event.  Thanks

ANSWER: I'm not sure what type event you are trying to put on. If there is a dance floor, then included slow fast and medium dance music, some good tear jerkers, some fun music (don't leave Boot Scootin' Boogie off the list) and if folks can request stuff, have an extensive list if you are going to honor the request.  I don't do any events anymore and when I do sing in public now, I base my selection on the crowd.  Obviously new country doesn't work as well for an older crowd which likes more older country. Of course, if it's a younger crowd, then the music needs to be more modern 90's - current music. If it's a mixed crowd, then a little bit of everything to please everyone.

I know this wasn't what you asked for but it would depend on the crowd that will be @ the event.  Even if I do karaoke, I rarely do the same songs especially if I'm out @ the same bar.  I know I don't want to always hear the same stuff (albeit some folks only know 2-3 songs), I sure wouldn't want folks to always hear me sing the same songs, even though I do often get limited by people requesting me to sing something.

QUESTION: Can You give me a couple of example of slow fast and medium dance music, some good tear jerkers, some fun music as it relates to country music.  Thanks

Answer
There are a few questions need answering:

1) What type of event this is for?
2) How long?
3) The age group?

If the original songs are to be played or is live music (aka band or singer) to do the music?

Listen to local radio or even some of the stuff playing on internet radio.  I'm sure between now and the event you can come up with a pretty good play list.  I would not want to put my personal preferences or my personal dislikes online.  It would not be fair to the ones overlooked or deliberately missed because of my dislikes.
My personal tastes are very eclectic, even just in country music genre.  What I like might not be what you would want.

Have fun listening.  I've gone in chat rooms on several chat programs and discovered a world of music and musicians that I would never have known if I hadn't done the wandering myself.

I do not watch them.******** I've been singing since I started talking, singing in public since I was 7. Still at it at 56. I have an extensive repertoire as well as lots of music. I also actively research for other people, including local djs, music that no one else can find, especially being given just paraphrased lines of songs. I'm the one @ karaoke that usually gets asked, "Who did this song?" or "Do you know a song that goes" and if it's country, I usually can name the song and artist, sometimes give within a couple of years the year of release. I've got a lot of lyrics in my database, as well as friends with working musicians who do open mic jams who have even more extensive databases than I do.
