Question
I remember a song from when I was younger and can not for the life of me find it anywhere.  Is there a song called Last Call For Alcohol?  If so who sang it?

Answer
Hello Kelly,

Charlie Walker recorded a song called "Last Call For Alcohol"....

There's no blonde at the bar making eyes at me
So I don't suppose that I'd be cheerful company
Anyhow it's too late to even hope tonight
They just switched off the jukebox and turned on the lights

And it's last call for alcohol, oh, that's the worst of all
When the drinks are gone the table's cleared and they tell me to go home
To a house where lives the pieces of my broken heart
Last call for alcohol and time for tears to start

(Instrumental Break)

'Cause there once was somebody in this life of mine
One to take her place I don't expect to find
But it might be a long long time before
She's back and the lights go on in my life once more

And it's last call for alcohol, oh, that's the worst of all
When the drinks are gone the table's cleared and they tell me to go home
Waitress, tell 'em fix one more and pour it tall
I'll drink it fast, I know that it's last call for alcohol

Glad to be of help. Cheers.........Mel.

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
