Question
I am looking for a version of the song Thank God For Kids.  It was done by the Oak Ridge Boys and Kenny Chesney.  I would prefer a version by a female artist if you know of one.  Thanks so much.

Answer
Hello Tami,

"Thank God For Kids" was originally written and recorded by Eddy Raven in 1972. Since then it has been recorded by the Oak Ridge Boys, The Jackson Southernaires, The Ecks, Frank Williams, The Kingdom Heirs, and Kenny Chesney.

The only version by a female singer that I know of is one by Laura Corlin on a CD titled "Tru Colors Vol.2". It's track 12. Here's a link where you can listen to part of the song and also order the CD if you want to.......

Glad to be of help. Cheers.......Mel.

Expertise

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
