hi i don't know if you know the answer to this question but i want to know if ricky van shelton is blake shelton's father my mom and sister keep saying he is but i don't think he is so if you could clear this up for me i would be gratefull thanks for your time hope to hear from you soon

Blake was asked this very question (Are you related to Ricky Van Shelton?) in a recent interview. Here's his answer........
Ricky Van Shelton is my father (laughs). No, I'm not related to him, but that is probably the number one question I get out on the road, and in interviews and stuff, if I am related to him. And I have never even met the guy.
