Question
I heard a song the other night---sung by a man--he talks in the beginning of the lyrics, and then sings something like I wouldn't change a thing......in the chorus---and then talks again in the lyrics----can you help me with who this is by and the name of the song?  Thanks.

Answer
Hello Jeannie,

This may not be the right song, but it's the only one I can think of that partly fits your description.

"I Wouldn't Change A Thing About You" by Hank Williams Jr.

I've always loved you because you've been so true
You've always been so kind you've never made me blue
You're the girl of my dreams and I think it's time you see
That I can't live without you
I wouldn't change a thing about you, but your name

Don't answer too quick, please think it over, dear
I swear I'd love you forever and a year
You're the only love I've known, I know we'd have a happy home
No, I can't live without you
I wouldn't change a thing about you, but your name

I wouldn't change a thing about you but your name
And I can't wait until they're both the same
For your heart's so good and true to your pretty eyes of blue
No, I can't live without you
I wouldn't change a thing about you, but your name

Glad to be of help. Cheers.........Mel.

Expertise

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
