Answer
Hello Colleen,

This song is called "One Small Photograph". It was written by Tasmanian country singer Kevin Shegog and was a very popular song in Australia and Tasmania, where it was recorded by:

Kevin Shegog & The Gold-Toppers - 1961
Dorothy Baker - 1962
Rex Franklin - mid 60s
The Singing Kettles - late 60s
Johnny Chester & Hotspur - 1980
Ambush - late 80s

Heartaches and sad dreams
Take away the moonbeams
Memories that made me so blue
All I have to cheer me
I always keep it near me
One small photograph of you

I've got lots of money
And things you gave me, honey
I've got a house and a Cadillac or two
If my fortune lessens
I'll be satisfied possessin'
One small photograph of you

Take away the sad dreams
Bring back the moonbeams
Come back my darling and stay
If you say you'll love me
By all the stars above me
I'll put my little photograph away

I've got lots of money
And things you gave me, honey
I've got a house and a Cadillac or two
If my fortune lessens
I'll be satisfied possessin'
One small photograph of you

Glad to be of help. Cheers...........Mel.

Expertise

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
