and if it's country, I usually can name the song and artist, sometimes give within a couple of years the year of release. I've got a lot of lyrics in my database, as well as friends with working musicians who do open mic jams who have even more extensive databases than I do.

I vaguely remember a song like that but I wasn't sure if it was Mac Davis or someone else. I already knew a song similar, "I'm Gonna Hire A Wino" by David Frizzell, which shows up under a lot of the search engine requests. Nothing came up under Mac Davis though. I hope the wino song is the one you're requesting. If it's not. Then please feel free to put your request into the question pool. Maybe someone else can answer it.
