Country Music/Name is driving me nuts!

Question
I saw Kenny Rogers in concert at Christmas time at the fox theatre in Detroit many years ago.  I am guessing it was between 1991-1995.  He had a young new country star (male) open for him.  I loved him, bought CDs, etc.  However, I don't think he is popular anymore.  I think he sang a song about that's someone's daughter.  I can't remember his name.  Any ideas?

Answer
Hi, Jen,

I'm no able to find any songs online with"that's someone's daughter' in the lyrics.  I can only suggest going to kenny's official site and as for assistance in finding out who the singer was.  Since you have a location for the concert, I'm sure someone within Kenny's organization would have a roster of the concerts and who fronted Kenny's concerts.  At least it's a place to start!

I also actively research for other people, including local djs, music that no one else can find, especially being given just paraphrased lines of songs. I'm the one @ karaoke that usually gets asked, "Who did this song?" or "Do you know a song that goes" and if it's country, I usually can name the song and artist, sometimes give within a couple of years the year of release. I've got a lot of lyrics in my database, as well as friends with working musicians who do open mic jams who have even more extensive databases than I do.
